1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Rankd, a product operated by Aurigen Labs Private Limited ("Aurigen Labs", "ByteVox", "Rankd", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in India (CIN: U62099DL2025PTC457711), including our website, applications and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Rankd is an AI-powered interview preparation platform. The Service allows you to: (a) submit a resume and a job description for automated match scoring, gap analysis and ATS-readiness feedback; (b) engage in AI-conducted mock interviews, by voice or text, generated from your resume and the job description you provide; and (c) receive scored feedback, transcripts and progress analytics based on those sessions.

3. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and make a purchase.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
• One account may not be shared across multiple individuals; minute allowances are tied to the individual account holder.

4. Subscription plans, minutes & billing

• Rankd offers a Free Trial and two paid plans, Practice and Pro, priced and described in full on our Pricing page, which forms part of these Terms.
• Paid plans grant a fixed allowance of live AI voice-interview minutes, valid for 30 days from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated at checkout. Unused minutes expire at the end of that period and do not carry forward.
• Resume-JD matching, gap analysis, ATS checks, question-bank generation and text-based interview practice are unlimited on all plans, including the Free Trial, and do not draw down your minute balance.
• All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST), which is added at checkout at the rate applicable at the time of purchase. A tax invoice is issued for every successful payment.
• Payments are processed through our third-party payment gateway provider. By making a payment you also agree to that provider's applicable terms.

5. Free trial

The Free Trial provides a limited allowance of live voice-interview minutes and unlimited access to resume-JD matching, at no charge and without requiring payment details. We may modify, limit, or discontinue the Free Trial, or the amount of free minutes offered, at any time without prior notice. Free Trial minutes are non-transferable and have no cash value.

6. Auto-renewal & cancellation

Practice and Pro are one-time purchases of a fixed minute allowance and do not renew automatically unless you explicitly opt in to auto-renewal from your account settings. Where auto-renewal is enabled, we will notify you by email at least 48 hours before the next charge, and you may cancel auto-renewal at any time before that charge is processed from your Billing settings. Cancelling auto-renewal does not entitle you to a refund of minutes already purchased or consumed; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the resumes, job descriptions, voice recordings, transcripts and any other material you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant Aurigen Labs a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store and analyze it solely to provide and improve the Service to you. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train third-party public AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on data handling.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; submit content that is defamatory, infringing, or belongs to someone else without authorization; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the Service; use automated means to create multiple accounts to obtain additional free minutes; or use the Service to generate content intended to misrepresent a candidate's identity or qualifications to a real employer or examination body in a manner that constitutes fraud.

9. AI-generated content & no outcome guarantee

Match scores, gap analyses, interview questions, feedback and scorecards are generated by artificial intelligence models and are provided for preparation and self-assessment purposes only. They do not constitute professional career, recruitment, legal or employment advice, and they are not a guarantee of interview or job-offer outcomes with any employer. Aurigen Labs makes no representation that use of the Service will result in a job offer, and is not responsible for any hiring decision made by a third-party employer.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, interface, question-generation methodology, scoring models and branding, is the property of Aurigen Labs Private Limited and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to our trademarks, logos or underlying technology beyond what is necessary to use the Service as intended.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure, including payment processing and cloud/AI infrastructure providers, to operate. We are not responsible for outages, errors or data handling by these providers beyond our contractual and legal obligations to you.

12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aurigen Labs Private Limited's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of employment opportunity.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Aurigen Labs Private Limited harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or Your Content infringing a third party's rights.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time from account settings; closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of unused minutes except as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India, subject to first attempting resolution through good-faith negotiation and, where required, arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored hashed).
• Content you submit: resumes, job descriptions, and any text you enter into the Service.
• Interview data: audio recordings and transcripts of your voice mock interviews, and text logs of your text-based sessions.
• Payment information: processed directly by our payment gateway provider; we receive confirmation of payment and a masked reference, never your full card, UPI or bank details.
• Usage & device data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and minute-usage logs.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to: provide match scoring, gap analysis and mock interviews; generate feedback and analytics; process payments and issue invoices; communicate with you about your account, minutes balance and product updates; detect fraud and abuse; and improve the accuracy of our matching and interview models.

3. Voice recordings & transcripts

When you use a voice mock interview, your audio is recorded and transcribed to generate your scorecard and feedback. Recordings are stored securely and are accessible only to you and to Aurigen Labs personnel or systems necessary to operate the Service. You can delete individual session recordings and transcripts at any time from your account's Session History.

4. How we store & protect your data

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. While we take industry-standard measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data, resumes, job descriptions, and interview transcripts for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, payment records required under Indian tax law).

6. Who we share data with

• Payment gateway provider - to process payments; they receive billing details necessary to complete your transaction.
• Cloud and AI infrastructure providers - to host the Service and run the AI models that power matching and interviews, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Analytics providers - to understand aggregate product usage; see our Cookie Policy.
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not share your resume or interview content with employers or recruiters without your explicit action to do so (for future features).

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

8. Your rights

Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for optional processing (such as marketing communications). You can exercise most of these rights directly from your account settings, or by contacting us at privacy@bytevox.ai.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International data transfer

Our infrastructure providers may process data outside India. Where this occurs, we require providers to maintain protections consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

Cookie Policy

You can control or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings or via the cookie preference banner shown on your first visit. Disabling essential or payment-gateway cookies may prevent parts of the Service, including checkout, from working correctly.

Some cookies are set by third parties we work with, including our payment gateway provider and analytics providers, and are governed by those providers' own privacy and cookie policies.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Free trial

The Free Trial is provided at no cost and is therefore not eligible for a refund, as no payment is taken.

2. Eligibility for a refund

• You may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchasing the Practice or Pro plan, provided you have not used any of the plan's voice-interview minutes.
• If any portion of your purchased minutes has been consumed, the purchase is treated as used and is non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
• Requests made after 24 hours of purchase are not eligible for a refund, regardless of usage, except in cases of a verified duplicate or erroneous charge.

3. Duplicate or erroneous charges

If you were charged more than once for the same purchase, or charged in error due to a technical fault, contact billing@bytevox.ai with your payment reference and we will investigate and refund any confirmed duplicate or erroneous charge in full, regardless of usage.

4. How to request a refund

Email billing@bytevox.ai with your registered email address, order/payment ID (found in your receipt or Billing section), and reason for the request. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

5. Refund processing time

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5-7 business days of approval. The time for the amount to reflect in your account thereafter depends on your bank or payment provider.

6. Cancellation of auto-renewal

If you have opted in to auto-renewal, you can cancel it at any time from Account → Billing before your next scheduled renewal date to avoid being charged again. Cancelling auto-renewal does not refund your current, already-purchased minute balance.

7. Plan changes

Upgrading from Practice to Pro before your Practice minutes expire credits the unused pro-rata value of your Practice plan toward the Pro purchase price. Downgrades are not applicable, since plans are minute top-ups rather than recurring tiers.
